Good Morning,
As I sit here in my house I can smell the fresh scent of guava as it permeates the whole premises, outside I hear a bird calling to me and the sun shines warmly upon my face. It feels like spring but I know winter is close on the heals of these beautiful smells and sounds. Oh how I miss Kauai, the warm sand beneath my feet the sound of the ocean as it laps the beautiful shores of Anini. The beautiful forest of the Alakai, and Sugi Grove sitting contentedly by the river watching the leaves of upstream trees flow by. Such wonderful gifts I have been given, so much of my Father I see in nature that you can not help but thank Him for all He has given you. On days when I feel as though my head is spinning these sights and sounds remind me that paradise is not far off and all too soon this too shall pass. How eagerly we wish away our mornings, afternoons and evenings to only usher in another day of unthankfulness. Thank you for the air I breathe, for the sun that shines, and for the beautiful children who will surround me until the day I die. I will enjoy and relish this day, not wish it away as if it were something to take for granted, but a blessing another chance to see God's beauty.
Enjoying The Moment,
Diane Maldonado
